I picked up the phone anticipating a call from a business, but after several attempts to engage, I was met with silence. The only thing I could discern was the cacophony of what sounded like a bustling office in the background. It’s infuriating, especially as I’ve been registered with the Telephone Preference Service since its inception. This makes it the third dubious call I've received today alone! The previous ones were trying to convince me that there were issues with my internet connection and insisted I should log in to some site. Honestly, who in their right mind would take the bait?
