I received a rather suspicious call from a woman who had a pronounced Indian accent. She addressed me as 'Madam' and claimed to be representing something called 'Windows'. Now, it's quite clear to me that if Microsoft were to reach out, they would certainly use their proper name and sound a lot more legitimate than this lot. Instinctively, I sensed something was amiss. I promptly told her to hang up and recognised it as a scam. Following that, I wasted no time in blocking the number on my phone.
