I suspect this was yet another dodgy call. Both my mobile and landline are registered with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service), so these annoying calls shouldn't be happening. I informed the caller that she was breaching the law, as the regulations clearly state that I shouldn't receive any calls being on the TPS list (according to the Legislation & Privacy Electronic Regulations 2003). I instructed her to take my number off her list right away, wished her a good night, and promptly hung up... and now I've had to add yet another number to my blocked list.
