Got a call from a bloke with a thick accent saying he was from BT Openreach. He told me my internet was running really slow and they wanted to fix it for me. Bit odd really, since just last week I had a BT engineer come by to upgrade my system after I’d already booked him. When I called the number back without saying anything, the guy just chuckled and ended the call. I then used 1471 to check the number and got the same one. Makes you wonder if there’s some connection between the real service and these dodgy calls?
