Earlier today, I received a rather dodgy call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, trying to push a ridiculously cheap deal on a new phone! It's definitely not the festive season, so it’s clear to me this is just a scam. Do yourself a favour and block the number immediately when they ring you. Trust me, you’ll save yourself a lot of hassle!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC saying I owed money and needed to pay straight away or they’d take legal action. They asked for my bank details, but I told them HMRC wouldn’t ask for that over the phone, they’d always send a letter first. Seemed fishy to me.
