This wasn’t the genuine O2 ringing me up. It was a dodgy number pretending to be from O2. The caller claimed they could give me a whopping 40% off my existing contract. Problem is, I’ve never been with O2, so I straight away saw through the ruse!

Received a call claiming to be from O2, insisting they could reduce my contract charges. They mentioned sending two messages: the first for verification and the second containing a code they needed me to provide. However, I later received a text warning me that they are not genuinely from O2 and advised against sharing any personal information. The caller was quite pushy, asserting that they'd already sent the texts and urging me to give them the code to move forward. ***PLEASE, DO NOT SHARE THIS CODE, AS THEY ARE A SCAM AND NOT AFFILIATED WITH O2!***

When you provide the caller with the code, they proceed to order an iPhone 13 to be delivered to your address but cunningly alter the delivery details to have it sent elsewhere, leaving you liable for the bill. If you suspect you've fallen victim to these unscrupulous individuals, it’s crucial to contact O2 without delay!
