I received an incessant call pestering me about a new mobile phone contract which frankly, I neither desired nor required. I made it quite clear that I wanted my details removed from their list, but they refused to accept my refusal. When I probed about the company they claimed to represent, they mentioned Carphone Warehouse, yet continued to press me to sign up for the contract. It got to the ridiculous point where he even joked about buying my car! Just another spammy call fishing for personal information.

My phone just rang, so I picked up and greeted whoever it was, only to be met with silence on the other end. Quite odd, and to add to the mystery, the number appears to be blocked.

Since the 13th of October, I've had a string of calls from the same number, 020 8954. Each time I pick up, there’s silence on the line. I've taken to blocking the number, yet they keep ringing back, albeit with different last digits-4284, 4772, 4662, 4158, and 4876. It’s quite annoying!
