This number keeps ringing me 3 or 4 times every day. When I blocked it, they started calling from a number almost the same. It always shows up as somewhere in London. Quite annoying!

Got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent saying they were from Carphone Warehouse. It didn't sound like a proper call centre at all. Then suddenly he started speaking Hindi and just ended the call. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a missed call on my phone from 0208 954 4787.
Since the hospital was meant to ring me and they usually use an 0208 number, I figured it was them and phoned back. An automated voice told me to say my full name and press the # key... which I did without thinking - then the call just ended.
Now I’m worried this could be some kind of scam trying to steal my identity.

I got a missed call from an 0208 number and figured it was the hospital, as I was waiting for a call from them. So, I called back and got an answer machine saying calls were being screened and to leave my name and press #. Thought nothing of it and left my details, but now I think this might be some kind of scam. Definitely not what I expected!

Over the past two days, I've had three calls from different London numbers, but each time I pick up, they just drop the call straight away. I really don't get what they hope to achieve by doing that, especially since simply answering can't let them hack your phone.
