Received a call purporting to be from Carphone Warehouse, and the whole experience was rather shambolic to say the least. The chap on the line mumbled his words so much that I struggled to make out what he was on about. He was trying to entice me into a £40 per month deal for an iPhone 13, but when I mentioned I wasn't the one holding the contract, I requested to be removed from their contact list and, just like that, he abruptly terminated the call. Seems rather dodgy, if you ask me!

I received a call from someone at Carphone Warehouse, and I must say, their Indian accent was quite pronounced.

I can't fathom why there seems to be a complete lack of action from any authorities regarding the incessant nuisance of telephone spam. It’s beyond frustrating! If I possessed the right tools or knowledge, I’d certainly take matters into my own hands and put an end to this madness. It’s about time someone stepped up to tackle this issue!

I’m absolutely fed up with these incessant phone calls to my mobile! The whole idea behind it seems to be that if they can entice just a tiny fraction of a percentage of us to ring back, they’ve scored a win. The initial call is often so garbled that anyone receiving it just sees the 020 number and, instead of being cautious, feels tempted to call back. That’s when they really start raking in the charges, or worse, pulling the wool over someone’s eyes. I’ve got a system set up on my landline which lets me call numbers starting with 01, 02, and 03 for free for the first 59 minutes. When I received that incomprehensible call on my mobile, I decided to use my landline instead to call that number. It just kept ringing and then made an odd noise, so I promptly hung up and blocked the number on both my mobile and landline. These sorts of calls seem particularly targeted at those with contract phones, aiming to bamboozle the unsuspecting owner into footing a bill that’s often unwarranted. Honestly, they ought to be caught and dealt with appropriately-preferably with a severe penalty!

Received a dodgy call from an individual claiming to represent Carphone Warehouse.

I received a rather unexpected phone call out of the blue. The lady on the line claimed to be representing a Samsung shop and wanted to discuss some sort of "exclusive deal". When she asked how I was doing today, I mentioned I wasn't feeling great. Rather than taking it in, she responded with a cheery, "I'm good too, thanks!" Clearly, she wasn't paying attention! Then she inquired about the brand of my phone, to which I replied, "I haven't a clue." Without skipping a beat, she thanked me and promptly hung up. Quite the curious exchange, I must say!
