3 yearsThere was this bloke claiming to be from EE Mobile. Tried to get what he was on about, but after the usual "howdy, how are ya?" nonsense, I just told him to jog on and ended the call.EE Mobile5 yearsGot a call from a number starting with 02, claiming they could cut my bill by 30%. They asked for my account code, but I gave them wrong digits a few times. They got really annoyed and just hung up. I've never picked up, but after seeing another comment saying it's probably a scam, I'm fine with leaving it alone haha. Just block it and move on.Scotland5 yearsSomeone named Alli rang me claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. He said they had a 40% discount on a 24-month contract, meaning the iPhone 12 Pro Max would be just £25 a month. It sounded great at first, so I had a look on their website but couldn’t find anything like that deal. The prices I saw were about £49 a month with some upfront fees. Then he rang again, and I asked if he could send me a link to the offer so I could place the order myself. He told me to just give him my details and he’d send the phone next day. When I asked what details he wanted, he asked for my card number, expiry date, CVV, bank details, and even my full address. That honestly felt like a scam. I told him so and he just hung up straight away. So, please be careful and never give your info out over the phone like that if you get calls like this. Stay safe out there.
