I didn’t catch the call at first, so I called back. There was a bloke on the other end who seemed proper baffled. He said he wasn’t the one who called me, mentioned something about scammers using his number or whatever. He told me to just block the number, which kinda freaked me out. So yeah, definitely looks like a dodgy scam or spam call.

I got a call on Saturday but didn't pick up, and there was no voicemail left. I’m just a bit concerned it could have been something genuine and not some annoying scam!

It seems Carphone Warehouse is engaging in some dodgy tactics, trying to reel people in for an upgrade.

If this number comes up, just block it. I got a call from someone pretending to be from O2, offering a “special discount.” They said I didn’t have to give bank details, just reply to their text with a code. It smelled like a trick to charge me £20 or more. When I asked them to email me more info about the offer, they wanted my email address - but I asked if they didn’t already have it on file. Then the caller insisted I spell it out. I wasn’t having any of it and hung up straight away.

I answered the call but there was complete silence, then they just ended the call after about 4 seconds.

Whenever I answer the phone, there's never anyone on the other end; they just cut off immediately.
