When I mentioned that I wasn't actually tied into any contract, they appeared rather flustered and were clearly rifling through their script for something to say next. Received a call claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, offering a complimentary phone upgrade. The thing is, I'm not even a customer of theirs! When I expressed my lack of interest since I'm quite fond of my current device, the caller abruptly ended the conversation. It’s clearly a scam. I reckon they would’ve attempted to fish for my bank details had I shown any curiosity.
