Normally, I tend to steer clear of calls from numbers I don’t recognise. However, I was anticipating a call from my doctor, so I thought I’d better pick up just in case. To my surprise, it was this rather unsettling chap on the line who appeared to take delight in our conversation. When I asked him what he wanted, he simply proceeded to ask my name. I shot back, “Who are you exactly?” His response? “You are magical,” delivered in such a disconcerting tone that it sent shivers down my spine. To add insult to injury, I received three more calls shortly after, all from numbers that were similar, yet just different enough to raise my suspicions. I've blocked them all now, feeling quite vexed! 😠
