It baffles me how authorities don’t seem to be doing more to stop people from buying blocked numbers without proper checks on who’s behind them and where they’re based. My advice? Ignore calls from strange numbers - if it’s important, they’ll leave a voicemail.5 yearsThis number is definitely a scammer pretending to be from Carphone Warehouse. They operate like a whole call centre, pushing fake offers that sound way too good to be true. They even go as far as using a logo very similar to the real Carphone Warehouse to trick people. When I asked for a confirmation email, I noticed that their email address had a hyphen in it, which the genuine Carphone Warehouse never uses. Also, theirs is spelled “carphoneswarehouse” with an extra 's' that shouldn’t be there. The official one spells it without that extra 's'. They always call from different numbers and come across as very aggressive too.
