I had an unsolicited phone call from a chap named Martin representing VNB Assets. When I pressed him, he was rather evasive about the purpose of his call. My reluctance to play along with his little game seemed to irk him, and he ended up behaving rather rudely before hanging up on me. It’s evident that whatever he was trying to peddle depended heavily on establishing some form of trust, which makes me suspect that it might not withstand close examination or proper financial appraisal.
