Didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the number, but I did leave a voicemail anyway.

I didn't pick up since it was a strange number. As soon as the answerphone kicked in, the call got cut off. Seems like it was one of those scams.

On 1st May at about 4.01pm, I got a call from someone I didn’t recognise. They used my name and asked if my washing machine was broken down. I said it was, but then I wanted to know who I was speaking to. The guy gave a name but it was mumble and I couldn’t catch it properly. When I asked him to say it again, he just cut the call. The whole thing felt dodgy, especially as I heard other voices in the background, like it was a scam team or something.

I saw the number but didn’t pick up. As soon as my answering machine kicked in, they just hung up. Seems like it was one of those scam calls to me.

So, got a call this evening around 5, they said my washing machine warranty was about to run out and wanted my bank info. I didn’t give anything away tho. When I asked who they were, they said White Goods Protection. I told them I’d ring back later, then they just hung up on me. Bit sus if you ask me.
