02089402212 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02089402212 👆 is reported as the dedicated number used by TrueCall call blocking devices to synchronise their data with TrueCall’s servers. These automatic calls typically occur overnight or periodically to update call logs and blocking settings via a web interface. While essential for the device’s operation and management, they can incur small charges if not included in the user’s call plan, leading to unexpected costs on landline bills. Users are advised to check and adjust TrueCall’s update frequency settings online to control call volume and associated charges. The number is not a scam and poses no risk, but any unexplained charges usually stem from the TrueCall unit itself rather than deliberate user actions. Contacting TrueCall customer service can help manage or cease these automated calls if desired.

I’m pretty sure this number belongs to truecall, but I've gotten four calls from it just this last month. The problem is, I don’t have any free minutes included, so every call racks up charges. The only weblink deals I see are for weekends, which is when I usually have time to make calls for no cost. This hasn’t happened to me before and I’ve already sent truecall an email to sort it out.

I've got a TrueCall device and it does a nightly 'weblink' to refresh the contact list, which is fully automatic. This update happens every day, but you can adjust how often it runs by logging into your account on their site and tweaking the settings. Also, if your phone plan covers free calls to 020 numbers, then there's no extra charge for this. So yeah, it’s pretty safe and hassle-free.

I noticed this number showing up twice on my phone record, once early in the morning around 6.23am and then again late at night at 11.17pm. I’m sure I didn’t place those calls.

This particular number has been incessantly ringing my elderly parents from the 7th to the 17th of March 2022. They even attempted to circumvent the call blocker by claiming to be a reliable contact. We've since adjusted the settings to prevent further annoyances. I would strongly advise against any interaction. Furthermore, they made a bid to reach me on my mobile too, but I promptly blocked them.

I've noticed that over the past three weeks, I've been billed for ten calls to this number, and I haven’t even laid a finger on my phone! The calls pop up in the early hours, lasting merely a few seconds, yet I still incur charges. Is there anyone out there who understands how to put a stop to this? My phone provider seems to be under the impression that I'm awake at 3 am, dialing away, despite the fact I’ve been in France for the past ten days!

This afternoon, I rang up True Call to inquire about those incessant calls I’ve been receiving, which are racking up a staggering £0.41 each time. They informed me that it’s their system merely performing routine checks to ensure everything is operational. I insisted they put an end to it, and they assured me a block would be in place by next week. I’ll be monitoring the situation closely just to be on the safe side.

The device from Truecall connects to this web link number to check all incoming and outgoing calls, helping you stop unwanted numbers from bothering you. I've owned this unit for quite a long time now, and honestly, it's a real lifesaver when it comes to blocking those annoying scammers and telemarketers.

I certainly didn't ring this number, yet it’s appearing on my statement. Quite baffling, to say the least!

I’ve noticed that this particular number tends to ring me quite late in the evening. It’s all linked to the device syncing its information with a central database. So, if you decide to input trusted contacts or numbers you wish to block through your online account, this sync will ensure that your device recognises those changes, thus managing your incoming calls accordingly. Additionally, it refreshes the log of calls you’ve sent and received, which is quite handy for keeping tabs on older family members from afar. Without a doubt, it’s not some dodgy operation, nor is it a threat in any way.

I noticed this number on my bill and found out it’s linked to having a Truecall call blocker fitted. The device automatically phones its server to refresh and update itself. Normally, this happens sometime between midnight and 6 in the morning. If those calls aren’t free on your contract, you might want to think about switching to one that won’t charge you extra. When you call the number back, it just sounds like a fax machine because it’s actually connecting to an automated system. No need to worry, it’s all perfectly alright.

I keep seeing this number pop up on my phone as if I’ve dialled it, but honestly, I’ve no clue who it is. What’s annoying is that I’m getting charged for calls I definitely didn’t place. It’s really puzzling!

Late last night, i found out the call from my landline to 02089402212 was actually made by the ‘truecall’ blocker itself, not me. Seems like it dialled out all on its own without me realising.

I’ve been a loyal user of CallBlocker for roughly 15 years now, and I’ve never had issues with my payments until this December. Lo and behold, my latest bill shows I’ve been charged a whopping five times for "calling" this number at some ungodly hour. It feels rather underhanded, if you ask me. I've always settled my fees upfront, typically for three years at a time, so this feels like a right kick in the teeth. So much for being a dedicated customer!

I reckon this number is the one that my call blocker pings. Initially, it was programmed to ring nightly so I could refresh my records on their site. It worked perfectly when I had complimentary nighttime calls, but once that deal ended, I requested the company to cut it off, which they did. Now, the only time this number chimes in is when the power goes off.

I got a call from 02089402212, and it turns out it's linked to some call blocking device that communicates over your landline. If you see any extra costs on your phone bill, it’s really down to the gadget itself, not your service provider. The device is the root cause here, not the phone company.

This number keeps showing up on my BT bill, listed 9 times at all sorts of random hours, day and night, and I'm being charged for every single one. What’s really odd is that the call times, like 00:29 or 04:32, don’t match reality - my bedside phone never actually rang. BT don’t seem too keen on accepting that I haven’t made these calls, but I find it quite concerning that I’m getting billed for calls that never even came through on my line.

I've been puzzled to see the number 02089402212 cropping up on my detailed phone bill on five separate occasions each month. It seems to indicate calls made from my own home number to this one, yet I have absolutely no recollection of making those calls. Strangely, they aren't charged, but they do last quite a while. I can't help but wonder who's been covertly using my home phone number and for what purpose. It’s quite concerning!

I’ve just had a dodgy phone call from this number, purporting to be from BT. It’s nothing but a con artist operation aimed at emptying your pockets. If you’ve got one of those T### boxes attached to your landline to block unwanted calls, this number is probably the one it uses to send info back. It’s like the device 'calling home'. Try ringing T### customer support at 0800 0336 330 - they’re quite helpful and friendly.

I’ve come across the number 0208 940 2212, which belongs to Truecall. I've noticed that my phone keeps dialling 020 8940 2212. The only device hooked up to my landline is a TrueCall box. Between 10th September 2018 and 2nd October 2018, there were six outgoing calls made to that number. I'm currently shelling out a bit over £5 a month to prevent any outgoing calls from my phone. After having a chat with BT, they suggested that there’s something connected to my line that’s causing these calls. As I mentioned, the only thing linked up is the TrueCall box, leading me to suspect that it might be malfunctioning.

I've noticed a charge on my bill for a call to this number, but I certainly didn't make that call! It appears that the TrueCall device is making a "home call," likely to run a web update or similar task. This gadget is quite remarkable and serves a crucial purpose in safeguarding elderly or at-risk individuals from scams. That said, it must occasionally communicate with its base unit, and be aware that your telecommunications provider might levy charges for this on top of your regular plan. You have the flexibility to schedule these updates daily, weekly, or even initiate them manually whenever you see fit. For those voicing concerns about call fees, you can easily adjust your settings through the online interface or the connected handset. If you don’t engage in online management of the unit, it won’t need to reach out after the initial configuration. Everything you need to know is detailed in the user manual.

I've owned this set from Consumer & Trading Standards for about three years now, and lately-over the last month and a half-it's taken to making calls at five in the morning, roughly every week or so. To make matters worse, these calls are premium rate, which has been quite a shock to my phone bill since I hardly ever use my landline. I'm really baffled about why it's suddenly become so chatty in the early hours. Is anyone else facing this peculiar issue? Any insight would be deeply appreciated! Cheers!

I've just relocated and hooked up my True Call device to my new BT phone line. Upon receiving my bill from BT, I was rather surprised to see a call charge of 34p, especially since I only have broadband and typically don’t use the phone apart from on weekends when calls are free. From what I've gathered, it appears True Call has to initiate at least one ring to get itself sorted, but I can’t recall ever being hit with such a charge when I was with Virgin Media. Quite confounding really!

I've noticed this particular number cropping up on my phone bill daily, save for Sundays. Each call lasts around a quarter of a minute, give or take. It strikes me as an automated call since I'm certain I haven't made any calls from my end to this number. I attempted to ring it back, but all I got was an incessant buzzing sound. I'm at a bit of a loss trying to figure out why these calls are happening, so I'll be reaching out to BT for assistance.

I've got myself a True Call call blocker. Without fail, it dials this number every day apart from Sundays, sending through details about who's trying to ring me via the device connected to my phone.
