Got a call from an automated voice claiming I had sent back a letter from HMRC, which I never did. It told me to press 1 to talk to an agent. I got connected to someone with a strong Indian accent who said he was from HMRC but gave me a dodgy number and spelled his name wrong. When I mentioned my postcode, he had the wrong street. They also rang my neighbour’s mobile separately. The numbers they used were (07417) 309303 and (07417) 608627. Watch out, these are definitely scammers!
