We've just received a call from this number, sounded like an Indian chap. Our instincts kicked in immediately, and we were quite wary.

I recently received a call strikingly similar to the one mentioned above. It was yet another unsolicited attempt to access my computer. The chap on the other end was keen to walk me through some steps to check if I had any "nasty" files lurking about my system. I played along a bit, pretending I’d jot down his instructions, but I made it clear I was away from my device at that time. It became abundantly clear he was after me to follow his so-called steps, likely hoping to infiltrate my computer. When I pointed this out, he claimed, “I can’t do that, it’s against the law.” But the moment I questioned him further, he became rather agitated. After I told him not to raise his voice, he abruptly ended the call. Now, I’m just waiting for the next one to come through!

I've been inundated with cold calls lately-usually either silent or purporting to have the perfect fix for supposed issues with "my" computer. It's rather annoying, to say the least!

A chap with an Indian accent claimed to be English. He was definitely sending off scam vibes while discussing computers.

I've received a call from the same number around ten times, and then they finally quit. I foolishly picked up the first time and told them to call again later. It was some chap from India!

I receive calls from this number multiple times each week, and honestly, it's quite a bother.

The phone rang, but as soon as I picked up, they hung up. Usually, I’d give them a call back and return the favour, but this time, the number didn’t seem to register anywhere! I’ve now logged the number into my caller ID, so if they try to ring again, it’ll show up as 'ignore.' Cheeky, isn’t it? 😄

I received a rather peculiar call from a woman with an accent that didn't quite sound local. She addressed me almost by my name and inquired whether I was the primary user of my computer. Given that I've come across warnings about such unsolicited calls before, I felt rather wary. So, I politely informed her that I don’t engage with this sort of enquiry and promptly hung up. While I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list, I suspect these calls are routed from India and thus don’t fall under its protections!

A woman with an accent from abroad has been ringing me, insisting that my computer is under surveillance and filled with unnecessary junk files and such. She was keen on providing me with some so-called guidance on how to tidy it all up. I just told her that my husband usually handles all that tech stuff, and suggested she try calling back later (which is perfect because he won’t be around to deal with them, and I’d love to see them get a dressing down!).

I've been receiving numerous calls where there's nothing but silence on the other end. Quite baffling, really!

Caught in the usual internet hassle, when they suddenly began prying into my age as if I were some elderly relic! I ended the call post haste.

My partner received some rather garbled calls on their landline, possibly from India, and the only bits we could make out were something along the lines of “Do you own a computer?” and “Are you the primary user?” Naturally, they hung up fairly swiftly. It does beg the question, what’s the purpose of the Telephone Preference Service if we’re still getting these kinds of nuisance calls?

I received yet another dodgy call claiming they’d found an issue with my computer. The whole spiel was just a carbon copy of countless others I’ve had before. The number they rang from was 020 8924 5429, which is from the London region. Just goes to show there are plenty of these scam calls floating about!

I keep receiving phone calls claiming to be from a PC support team, warning me about unwanted files infiltrating my computer. They insist that the problems are currently affecting my device…

Absolute swindle! They're trying to lure you into accessing your computer, claiming a dodgy file is pinching your information. The real intent? To plant some malicious software and purloin your details. The chap on the line was an articulate fellow from India, I’ll give him that. A part of me was tempted to play along, dragging it out for ages while feigning ignorance. Honestly, it’s such a feeble ruse; my nan would’ve thrown in the towel within minutes! Come on, folks, surely you can devise a more sophisticated con in this day and age. We're living in the 21st century, after all!

Here we go again, more dodgy calls from some unscrupulous folks. It’s always the same story with these scammers - why not try earning an honest living instead?

A rather dodgy character rang up claiming to speak with the homeowner. It was clearly a scam. The moment we let them know who we were, they abruptly hung up. Quite the cheek, really!

Had a right dodgy call from some outfit claiming they’d pinpointed an issue with our computer. We wasted no time in telling them to clear off and hung up sharpish.
