We listed our car on Auto Trader and shortly afterwards, a finance company called us, expressing interest in purchasing it. However, they then insisted that we provide our name, address, postcode, account number, card number, and sort code to facilitate the registration. They claimed that we’d get back the £99.95 registration fee once the vehicle was sold. Quite bizarre, if you ask me!

Apparently, we’d receive the £99.95 registration fee back after the car was sold. It all felt rather dodgy and out of the blue!
