I've recently encountered a bunch of tricksters who kick off their pitch with something along the lines of, "We've found a buyer for your car listed on Autotrader." They then hit you with a request for £79.99 to supposedly connect you with these interested buyers. The moment you press them for details, they insist someone has called to show interest in your vehicle, but there’s a catch - it’ll cost you! The folks on the other end aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed, but I suppose they must be a bit desperate to resort to this line of work. Just thought it necessary to flag this, as it's clearly a SCAM!!!

Absolutely the same experience here! This lot called me thrice in a mere ten minutes, and it was the same chap each time. Do they not grasp that I've already answered them? It's a complete scam! When someone shows genuine interest in the car, it’s baffling why they can’t just stick to what’s already been said!

Absolutely in the same boat! We've had three calls from this lot within just ten minutes, and believe it or not, it’s the same person each time, oblivious to the fact they’ve just called me! What a complete scam. If they're genuinely keen on the car, why can’t they just take a look at Autotrader like everyone else?
