I had an unsettling encounter with "The Call Management Service" today. They insisted that I'd enrolled in their call-blocking scheme a year back and now owe them a hefty £89.99. When I firmly stated that I'd never subscribed to any such service, the chap on the other end of the line got quite agitated and insisted on speaking to my wife. It’s all quite suspicious! Definitely feels like a scam to me!

Just like others have mentioned, Amanda was incredibly persuasive and quite courteous. She insisted that, for the sake of data protection, all she needed was the name of my bank. I wasn't having any of it and replied that if she could share the name of my bank, I'd gladly carry on with the conversation. Naturally, she would not divulge this information and claimed she’d retrieve last year's call to demonstrate that I had signed up. When I suggested she go ahead with that, she promptly disconnected. Strange, isn't it?

It’s been a year since I told them to stop all those annoying calls, yet they keep coming. Then today, they said from tomorrow no calls would get through anymore. They also wanted me to change a password I don’t even have, and then suddenly asked for my banking info. That’s when I just ended the call straight away.

I received a call this morning around half nine from a charming young lady who introduced herself as Amanda. She claimed that we had registered for a blocking service the previous year, which was now being upgraded to include international calls. To my surprise, she requested my card details! She already had our name and address and was familiar with the first digits of our bank card. Thankfully, I realised the situation before divulging any information. I consulted with my husband, and neither of us could recall signing up for such a service. Amanda was quite insistent, urging me to provide my bank details so her manager could reach out subsequently. I decided to hang up and have since informed my bank. That was a close call-definitely a clever scam!

Received a rather dodgy call today from that specific number. The person on the other end claimed we had registered for some service last year and mentioned they were extending it to include international calls. They promised to send over some documents. Surprisingly, they had our name and address, and then they inquired about our password-which, mind you, we hadn’t even established! To top it off, they had the audacity to ask me what my favourite colour was, hinting it began with a 'B'. I decided enough was enough and hung up.

I got a phone call on my mobile the other day (I never give out my home number) from a woman who claimed I’d registered for a call-blocking service last year. She wanted to double-check some details, which were rather outdated but unsettling as they seemed to have quite a bit of personal information. It’s crystal clear they’re up to no good, but it leaves me wondering - where are they getting this info from?

I received a call from this number today, with someone on the other end inquiring about a Mr. Wilson. The chap went on about having signed up for international call blocking last year. The thing is, the only Mr. Wilson I knew passed away five years ago! Honestly, if I were his widow, it could have been quite distressing. It's high time we put an end to these kinds of disruptive calls!

I had a rather intriguing phone call from a woman with a distinctly English accent who claimed to represent some sort of call management service. It seems that my complimentary subscription for their call blocking service, which I had taken out last year, was nearing its expiration date. She inquired whether I'd been plagued by calls from countries like India, China, or Russia. When I responded that I hadn’t received any such calls, she proclaimed that this was proof the service was doing its job. I expressed my surprise, mentioning that I wasn’t aware we even had an issue with overseas nuisance calls. I then asked her if they had provided any documentation upon signing up for this service. To my astonishment, she replied they hadn’t - and promptly ended the call!

Annoying telephone caller. Trying to pull a fast one.

A woman called my aunt insisting that she needed to pay £98.98 to block calls from places like Argentina and China. When my aunt questioned her about it, she abruptly ended the call. This has raised quite a bit of alarm since the caller claimed the fee would be deducted directly from her account, prompting my aunt to consider alerting her bank about the situation.

I got a call from someone saying they'd been blocking annoying calls here in England, said the service was free for the first year. Now that year’s up, they’re asking for £98 to continue, which apparently includes blocking unwanted international calls too, but that part’s only free after this payment. They claimed to have the last four digits of my bank details. I asked her to repeat what she said and to take it slowly, but she just said she was too busy and hung up on me.

I received a call from a lady attempting to bill me £98.99 for something related to the telephone preference service. Quite outrageous, if you ask me!
