I got a call from some guy named Alex Brown, sounded Asian, saying he was from the Claims Department. When I asked nicely for him to take my number off their list, he ended the call abruptly and told me to "f*** off". Proper rude!

Someone rang me up and already had my name and address. They said they were from some Government department and that they wanted to send me a cheque for some sort of money issue from a few years back. Then, to 'verify' who I was, they asked for my date of birth. I wasn’t having any of it and told them just to post the details since they obviously had my address and name. Of course, the call ended straight away after that.

Got a call earlier today from someone with an English name but a really strong Indian accent. When I tried ringing them back, the line was constantly busy.

My wife picked up the phone, and a woman with an Afro-Caribbean accent was asking for a Mrs Grey. When my wife said nobody with that name is here, the caller just rudely told her to F off and then hung up. Quite shocking behaviour!

I tried answering the phone but someone hung up before I could get to it. Didn’t leave any voicemail either.

Got a random call earlier, they wanted to talk to my missus. She said she wasn’t home, and then they just ended the call. Another pointless nuisance.

Got a text out of the blue from some bloke claiming to be my dad. Totally random and caught me off guard.

Got a phone call from someone called "Harry Bill" claiming to be from a Government department, telling me I was entitled to £2000 from somewhere in the past 20 years. He said a senior official would ring me tomorrow to arrange sending a cheque. They gave a reference number I was supposed to provide to get the cheque approved. They already had my full name, address, and DOB. Has anyone else had contact with these folks?
