I received a call from this number today. A chap claimed he was representing my local council. My advice? Just put the phone down without further ado.

Earlier today, I received a rather dubious call from a chap who introduced himself as Daniel. He claimed to be representing Denbighshire County Council and insisted he was inquiring about an incident involving someone at my residence. Quite frankly, it seemed extremely fishy at that hour-5:45 in the evening, no less! Besides, his accent didn’t quite match his purported name. To top it off, nobody here has experienced any mishap, so I promptly accused him of deceiving me and terminated the call. As I did so, I could hear him still talking back and throwing around a few choice expletives.

I received a call from a chap claiming to represent Warrington Borough Council. When I inquired about the London number, he insisted it was the head office for the council and rambled on about an incident. I decided to cut the conversation short after informing him that I would be reaching out to both the council and the police. Just a heads up - stay vigilant!

Verbal harassment and foul language! I told him I wasn’t keen, and he just unleashed a torrent of expletives at me. The bloke hurled all sorts of insults, even dragging my mum into it with some godawful remarks. They purport to be on behalf of the council, insisting they're reaching out to compensate you for some supposed mishap. I reckon it’s probably just more of those dodgy PPI calls. After I hung up, they bombarded me with calls for nearly half an hour - about twenty times in total!
