Got a call saying I qualified for a tax refund. Seems dodgy to me - the tax office wouldn’t handle things like that over the phone. Definitely a scam.

Received a message claiming my Rod Stewart tickets were sent, complete with a tracking number. The only problem is, I haven’t actually purchased any tickets! It seemed a bit dodgy, so I wisely avoided clicking the link. Pleased I stumbled across this site for some peace of mind!

I received a phone call from this number, with the caller asserting that they were representing TalkTalk, a service I used to be involved with but have since parted ways. A couple of months back, they attempted to convince me to provide them with personal details via my computer, which I flatly refused to do. I've been inundated with calls for the past couple of days. It's evident it's a call centre, as no one responds initially and there's the unmistakable buzz of operators in the background. I've been promptly disconnecting whenever they ring. It reminds me of the tricksters from TalkTalk who attempted to get me to install some software about six months ago; it seems they're back at it! I really wish these incessant calls would cease, as I'm resorting to screening all my calls with voicemail, which is rather bothersome!

I’ve had quite a few calls over the past couple of days from individuals purporting to be from TalkTalk. Some of them don’t say a word when I answer! Just to add, I was a customer of theirs in the past.

This number has been ringing me nonstop for the last couple of days. Right away, I figured it was a call centre since they don’t say anything at the start and you can hear people talking in the background. I just hang up as soon as I realise. Now I’m screening the calls but it’s a bit of a hassle. We got scammed by someone pretending to be TalkTalk about six months back, so I reckon this could be another scam attempt.

I received a call from this number at half past nine this morning, claiming there were issues with my TalkTalk broadband. I made it quite clear, and not in the friendliest of manners, that they were definitely not representatives of the company they claimed to be, and that I would be reporting them as scammers. I haven't even been a TalkTalk customer for quite a while! They rang back at ten minutes to ten-strangely, no one was on the line. Then, at nine fifty, another caller reached out, but I once again informed them that I considered their attempt a scam and that I'd be reporting the matter accordingly.

I received a call today from folks purporting to be TalkTalk, asserting that they were my internet service provider. The thing is, I've not had any dealings with TalkTalk for over a decade, and I’ve never even subscribed to their broadband service. I decided to humour them for a bit - spun a few tall tales while I was at it - and after about fifteen minutes of their nonsense, I got tired and ended the conversation. I made sure not to get drawn into connecting to www.teamwork.com. According to the Thomson Directory, this number seems to be linked to Double8Tickets.

Strange number indeed! It rang my home landline on Saturday morning, well before 9 o'clock. The area code points to London, yet they didn't bother to leave a voicemail. By the way, I'm unlisted and registered with the Telephone Preference Service as well. Quite curious!

I've just received a rather dodgy call from a number that turns out to be associated with a ticket agency known as Double8Tickets. The caller had the audacity to pretend they were from TalkTalk, claiming to be my internet service provider. I haven’t been with TalkTalk for over a decade and have never subscribed to their broadband. I decided to engage in a bit of banter, weaving in a few tall tales for about 15 minutes, but it became tedious quite quickly, so I hung up. I made sure not to fall for their trap of connecting me to www.teamwork.com.

Couldnt pick up cause was tied up when they rang, but after seeing what others said - dont give them any details if you do pick up. Lucky I didnt answer - ive blocked the number now, till they figure out another trick. Such a nuisance!!

I use call guard and I’m on the ex directory plus tps list, they’ve rung me twice but didnt leave any message. I’m glad to have call guard, it really blocks loads of scam calls.

I got a call from an Indian woman with really poor English, claiming to be from EE and saying there was an issue with my internet and she could fix it. I didn’t believe her, so I told her if she was really from EE, the problem would’ve already been fixed and they wouldn’t bother calling me. Then I just hung up. When I looked at my call log, that number had called me loads of times.

Got calls on 22/8/2016 three times, supposedly from Talk Talk, but I just hung up straight away. Now today, 23/8/2016, they’ve been ringing every couple of hours since 7 in the morning. I have to pick up cause there’s been a d#### in the family and I’m expecting some crucial calls. At 75, I really don’t need this hassle. BT really ought to block that number right at the exchange.

Spoke to a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Talktalk. I told her I wasn’t a customer, but she insisted it didn’t matter and that all ISPs are basically the same! I told her she was talking rubbish and then she just hung up. Seriously, these Talktalk scams are driving me nuts - why can’t Talktalk sort this mess out themselves?

Fella with a thick Indian accent, the moment he asked how I was, I got a bad feeling he was after info. He claimed there was an issue with my computer. I said straight away it was a scam. I kept it civil but there’s only so much politeness I can manage, next time I’m not sure what I’d say. We’re in England, so why do these foreign callers seem to run the show nowadays?

I’ve just had a phone call from someone claiming to be "John" from Talk Talk. Now, I've been getting similar calls from various numbers over the past few weeks with that exact same script. So, I thought I'd play along and told him, "Oh, isn’t it lovely that you lot are ringing me so frequently these days?" then promptly ended the call! Got a call from this number claiming I was with TalkTalk and that I was unknowingly downloading harmful files. I told them it was a scam and my internet was fine. Then they replied, "why you wastin my time, you mother f###r?" I just laughed, and they lost it. I kept chuckling and the bloke just hung up abruptly.

This number called me three times today. The person said they were from Talk Talk. When I told them I wasn’t a Talk Talk customer, they said if I’m with BT, Sky or Vodafone, then I’m actually with Talk Talk. I just ended the call after that.

A caller claiming to be from TalkTalk reached out to me, and I feigned enthusiasm. However, I had to confess that I was unable to assist since I didn't have the password for my father's computer. Oddly enough, he’s also a TalkTalk employee-perhaps she might drop him an email for further info? The conversation was rather brief after that! Just the other day, I had to tell them we didn’t even own a computer. Next time, I’m quite tempted to inquire about their attire and how they feel about being pushed to the brink of exhaustion in their line of work!

They kept ringin my elderly folks sayin they were from talk talk. Dad, who's hard of hearin, tried to deal with it. The bloke called himself Sam but sounded Indian. Now mum and dad are scared to use their computer. We told the police and the bank, they’re on it and said they've passed it to cyber crime people. This was definitely the TalkTalk con. They claimed my router was showing error alerts (which is rubbish, my router only sends messages to me). Then they wanted me to check the Windows error log, which would be near impossible since I’m on a Mac. I called the bloke a cheating b*****d and told him to jog on, then hung up. He rang back asking what was up, so I told him exactly what I thought of him and ended the call again.
