I saw a number I didn’t know pop up on my phone so I just let it ring out. They hung up pretty quickly and didn’t bother leaving a voicemail or anything.

They keep ringing me all the time and I have no clue how to make it stop. The person has an Indian accent and comes across really pushy.

Got a call from some bloke named Alex who seemed to know my postcode and name. He was banging on about my Hotpoint washing machine, but I told him I didn't own one, so he tried his luck with another brand. When I told him to mind his own business, he just hung up on me.

Some bloke rang looking for a Joshua Robinson - they’ve phoned a couple of times before, and normally when I say no one by that name’s at this address, they just drop the call. This time I decided to humour them and told them I was listening. An Indian chap with quite poor English starts asking if I’m satisfied with my broadband and said he was from BT. I told him I was fine with my service, he didn’t really respond, so I ended the call.

Got a call earlier, they wanted to know my name but I didn’t give it. Then they asked for my postcode, I declined again and told them I’m on the TPS. They tried to say it wasn’t a sales call, something about my washing machine. I just said I’m not answering, and they ended the call.

I got a call from some guy who didn't seem to speak English well at all, an Asian man. He asked for my name but I didn't give it, then he tried for my address and I said no again. When I warned him I’d report him to the cops for fraud, he started shouting abuse and told me to f### off before hanging up suddenly. I’ve already reported this number and the call to Ofcom, and my solicitor is helping push them to take action against the company behind it. The bloke claimed he was calling from BT, but it was obvious it was a call centre somewhere in Asia, definitely not BT.

This number rang me just after midday today, about 12:53. Luckily, I wasn’t home at the time, so they ended up calling to nobody. Pretty funny, really.

They called looking for a Kieron with my last name, but I’m not related to anyone like that. I just spelled out my own name for them, and when I told them I didn’t know any Kieron, they suddenly ended the call. Strange really.

This number 0208 888 5425 rings my phone daily! They always ask, "Is this Mrs Foster?" I keep telling them there’s no one here by that name, but they just end the call. When are they gonna understand?!

Got a call from some Asian call centre, a woman who wanted to check my name. Didn't give it to her, just asked what the call was about. Turned out to be that Hotpoint thing others mentioned. Told her I wasn't interested and ended the call. I'll report it to the TPS, though I doubt it'll help much.

I keep getting loads of calls from this number, but nobody ever answers. It’s at least 3 or 4 times daily. I’m on the do not call list too, so it’s pointless - I get just as many calls as before I signed up. Honestly, I’d like to find out where these calls are coming from, show up there and give them a piece of my mind. Maybe then they'll realise how much they’re annoying me.

It’s no use blocking these calls, they just switch the number and bother you all over again. Seriously, you’d think the telecom companies here in the UK would do something about this instead of just cashing in and ignoring the problem.

Got a call from this Asian bloke named David Khan. He wanted me to verify my address but the moment I asked where he was calling from, he just dropped the call. I rang back but no luck getting through. I’m thinking of keepin at it and bugging whoever’s on the other side for a while. Since it’s a local number, maybe everyone should start doing that too.

Got a call from 02088885425, and the bloke on the line was Asian. He called me by my name, so I asked who it was. He said he was my dad. I said “Hey, dad,” and then he just told me to “Fxxk off” and hung up. Very weird.

Today I got three calls from the same number. The first time I answered and waited but the person hung up almost straight away. The second call was from a bloke with an Asian accent. He asked if I was the person he wanted and then if I had a Hotpoint washing machine. After I said yes, he just said thanks and ended the call. The last time, I decided to ask who she was instead of saying who I was. She gave a quick answer and then just cut off. These calls are proper annoying!

I keep receiving calls from this number throughout the day, and every time I answer, the line goes dead. It's becoming rather frustrating, especially when there’s no response when I try to return the call.

Got a call from some Asian bloke at a call centre, asking for a name that sounds familiar from other calls, but they definitely don't live here. I'm fed up with being asked about this person, so I had a bit of a moan and then he just cut me off, lol.

Someone called me using what seemed to be a random number, but they asked for me by name. Their English was really poor and they had a thick accent. They tried to ask questions like the ones above. I told them I’m on the TPS list and that I’d be reporting the call, which I already have. Since the number was probably faked or generated by a computer, I doubt it’ll get traced. I've blocked the number now anyway.

This morning at 08:53 on a Saturday, a bloke calling himself ‘Mark’ rang up and asked for my husband, but he totally got his name wrong. When I asked who it was, he said Mark. I wanted to know which company he was with, and he just gave me our postcode. When I pressed for more info about the company, he suddenly cut the call. We've been on the TPS for ages, so I’m certain this call wasn’t legit. I managed to find his number starting with 4471.

Someone rang me up and just kept asking if I owned a washing machine. I said no right away. Then they asked how I cleaned my clothes, and I told them I just do it by hand. It sounded like a scam to me since earlier calls I got were about computers! Definitely felt dodgy.

I didn’t pick up this call, so I dialled 1471 to see the number and then used this website to check who called me. From what others have said about Hotpoint, it sounds like the same scam I’ve dealt with before. They even asked for me by name and if I owned a Hotpoint appliance. I didn’t share any details and told them to take me off their list. Clearly, that hasn’t happened - does that mean they’re now operating illegally?

Got a call the other day about my mortgage or endowment policy, but I told them I don’t have either and asked where they got my number from. They claimed it was in their system. I asked them to take me off their list, yet they rang again today. I saw the number on caller ID, so I didn’t pick up. I’ve just signed up for a call blocker on my home phone, though the 28-day trial period isn’t over yet. If they ring again after that, I’m definitely going to report them.

I keep gettin calls from what looks like a londn 020 number but when I try to call back its not valid. Sounds like it's some sort of scam because they use a computer to make up random numbers, even ones from foreign countries that you just can't track. Luckily my call blocker is doing its job and keeping these annoying calls away.

If you’re ringing a business number more than three times a day, it might be a good idea to stop trying altogether and just hang up.
