They said they were from Sky and had a special deal for me. Then they started asking for my full name and address... when I wouldn't give them my password or mum's maiden name, they just ended the call. Blocked the number straight away.

I've gotten calls about renewing some washing machine warranty loads of times now. They claimed i was paying £22 every month and could lower it to £17 a month but ive never had any washing machine insurance before. I kept them talking for about 15 mins then said i'd tell my landlord as they usually fix any broken stuff. Wasn't true but as soon as they heard that, they just ended the call. They’re full of lies so dont hesitate to waste their time like ive done.

This is most likely Domestic and General. I’ve got insurance with them too, and they keep ringing me, trying to offer some “discount” - which always ends up being a better price if you start a new policy. Seeing how many reports there are today, they must be ringing loads of people!
