About quarter of an hour ago, I got a voicemail from this number. The guy on the message had an Indian accent and said he was calling from BT, asking me to ring him back. Since I'm on the BT network, I decided to call the official BT customer service. They told me that 02088756876 isn't one of their numbers at all. Seems like someone was trying to scam me.

I looked up the number 02088756877 and noticed the only change is the last digit from the one I got a call from. There are loads of reports saying it's a billing scam, with a bloke speaking with an Indian accent pretending to be from BT. The call I got from 02088756876 was exactly that - a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be BT. Since the numbers are so close and the story looks the same, I'm sure it’s the same scammer behind both calls.

Got a voicemail from a bloke speaking with a heavy Indian accent, said he was from BT and wanted me to ring him back. Thing is, we aren’t even with BT, and the number he called from doesn’t match any official BT line. Pretty sure it’s just another dodgy call centre trying to scam people.
