I blocked this number on my phone but it kept calling me 18 more times after that. They really should be taken to court.

I had this number blocked on my phone, yet it attempted to call me an additional 18 times. This behaviour is downright harassing and they ought to face some legal action for it!

They ring me like 7 or 8 times daily, now from a hidden number as well. I’ve tried looking up Choose Lifestyle online but nothing comes up, so I’m thinking it might be a fake company and maybe even a scam?

This number has rung me over 8 times, both on my phone and landline. It's quite alarming they have my name and address. Twice, it was a woman speaking with a thick Asian accent. The bloke also had a strong Asian accent, was quite rude and kept calling nonstop, refusing to accept no. Be cautious, DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THEY ASK. Got about five calls this 4th of Feb from morning till evening. Four times no one said a word, and one call I didn’t catch what the person said before they just hung up. Really fishy.

Regarding the landline number 02088714826 - Choos Lifestyle. I requested that my number be taken off their list too, as I was getting loads of calls every day on both my landline and mobile. When they rang again, I picked up and told them I’d reported it and asked once more for my details to be removed. The person on the other end rudely told me to “Shut Up” and then just hung up. Since that happened, the calls have actually got worse - already had 4 on my mobile today and one on the landline!

Got calls from this number like 13 times today! Luckily, I have an app that stops unwanted calls. Def not gonna bother ringing them back after seeing what everyone else said here.

Choose Life kept ringing me non stop today, 8 times in total. I picked up once and nicely told them I wasn’t interested. After ignoring loads of calls, I answered again just to stop it. I made it clear I didn’t want anything, but this bloke with an Indian accent just started shouting at me down the phone! Seriously, who do they reckon they are?!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he wanted me to do a survey. Somehow he already had my address, no idea how that’s possible! When I asked why, he just wouldn’t say. Then he asked if I owned my house, so I was like, what’s that got to do with you or your company? Then he just hung up on me.

Got called like 3 times over 6 or 7 hours. One of the calls was from a number almost the same, just a couple digits changed at the end. Didn't answer any of them. I have recently signed up and applied for jobs on several sites too, like some others are saying, so I guess they must have grabbed my number from one of those.

I get calls from this number every single day with no exception. When I pick up, no one says a word, they just click off straight away. Surely there’s a way to block or ban calls like these? It feels like a real invasion of privacy. Might have to change my number yet again just to get rid of this annoying pestering.

I had a similar experience when some mixed race bloke answered and said his name was Kevin Brown. I told him, yeah sure, and I'm the Queen. Then I asked to be removed from their list. They just told me to f#ck off and slammed the phone down. Tried ringing back but the number doesn’t show up anywhere. If I ever find out where they’re located, I’ll be paying them an unpleasant visit.

Been getting like 5 calls every day since the start of Feb and it's just the 5th today. I blocked them already but they keep trying. On the first call, they said they got my number from some Utility company, and they even knew my name, address, and my birthday. Proper not pleased with this.

Yeah, silly me picked up and went along with the 'survey' stuff. Now I get like 5 calls a day from different firms about the answers I gave. For example, a recent call said my LG TV warranty's expired and they wanted to sort an extension (the survey did ask what kind of television I owned and its age). Worth mentioning, they asked if they could pass on my details and I said 'NO'.

I only recently registered with VERY[###], and I reckon they might have shared or sold my info because this is a fairly new number I don't usually hand out.

He proceeded to say my name and address, so I asked where he’d gotten that from. He said the UK database. I told him to take me off their list as I wasn’t interested. He chuckled and hung up.

Had a very insistent lady with a strong accent ringing me, kept pushing to get me to confirm my address. I kept trying to find out what the call was about but she wouldn’t give me a straight answer. After a bit she said it was some kind of survey, but when I said I wasn’t bothered she just kept going. In the end I had to just hang up, no matter how nicely I said I wasn’t interested and didn’t want any more calls, she didn’t back off.

They rang me about five times and I finally picked up. The guy said he was from some company (didn’t catch which one) and wanted me to do a quick survey, like a minute long. So I asked nicely if they could remove me from their calls, and he flat out refused. Then I asked to talk to his manager, still no. Asked again to be taken off the list, and again he said no. I told him that was actually illegal, and he turned it around saying I was the one breaking the law. When I asked him to explain, he just hung up. Honestly, wasted way too much time on that call!

This was one of those info calls where they ask about your lifestyle and then send your details to other companies like life insurance, windows, or kitchen suppliers. The lady on the phone, who had an accent, was a bit cheeky, but if you firmly and nicely tell them to delete your info, they legally have to do it. It’s annoying, yeah, but they’re just trying to work, better than doing nothing all day! They keep ringing because it’s run by a computer that automatically redials after a while if you don’t pick up. It’s not the same person each time, just the next available operator.

Today was the first time I've done this! Whenever I get a call from an unknown number, I just let it ring out. Once it’s finished, I pop it into Google to see who it was that tried to get in touch. If it turns out to be someone I recognise, I’ll give them a bell back. It’s a clever way to avoid any potential awkwardness-if they can’t get through, they can’t keep pestering me!

At around seven o'clock, I tried getting in touch with OFCOM, but sadly, they were closed for the day. The nuisance calls kept coming until I decided to have a bit of fun and told them I was recording the call and that it was being monitored by OFCOM for legal action. Strangely enough, that seemed to do the trick as the calls ceased. Following this, I managed to get through to OFCOM and relayed all the details about the nuisance caller and what had unfolded. They assured me they would look into it, and to my surprise, they have the authority to fine these sneaky outfits up to £3 million! If anyone else is in a similar situation and wishes to contact OFCOM, the number you need is 0300 123 3333. When you call, make sure to highlight that the calls are silent, because if you mention the lifestyle survey, they'll just refer you to the Information Commissioner's Office. However, they only handle companies that persistently try to peddle products, leaving these lifestyle survey calls in a bit of a grey area.
