I've been getting quite a few calls lately, and the most recent one came through late on Friday night.

It's quite unacceptable to be sitting there in the midst of a meal, honestly. The lack of etiquette was astounding. Surely someone could have taught you the proper way to wield a knife and fork! It's a bit like those individuals who seem to dial in whenever their supposed psychic abilities fail them-truly poor manners all around!

I received a rather surprising call from the number listed above. The individual on the other end inquired about how they had come across my number. When I asked how they found it, they mentioned that it was "randomly generated." Quite curious, isn't it?

This number calls at various times throughout the day, presumably for some sort of market research. We politely let the young lady on the other end know that we're not interested, but it seems she didn’t take the hint.

We've only just set up our new number, previously with Virgin, and it’s got us wondering why we need to sign up with their service to avoid unsolicited calls. Surely, it should be the converse, where we voluntarily enlist to be included in their call list instead! One has to wonder just how many individuals will actually bother to register for this. Best wishes, John.

We've been inundated with calls to our eleven-year-old son's mobile. Bless her, she doesn't quite understand the concept of scams and it's been causing her some distress.

Every year, Ipsos MORI gets hired by loads of different organisations to do tons of research. To make this happen, they get in touch with millions of people globally and really depend on folks being willing to help out and take part voluntarily so they can complete their studies.

I've received calls from this number on several occasions. The last one was quite late, around 20:40. Having spent time in the marketing sector, I know it's not permissible to contact individuals after 19:30 for promotional purposes. This seems highly inappropriate!

We’re in the same boat. My phone’s been ringing off the hook lately, and it seems to be getting worse. I've not picked up a single call and don’t plan to start now.

A persistent bother from this number. They call us daily, but it's always just silence on the line.

I received a call from someone wanting to chat about our television watching habits, which I found quite baffling. When I mentioned that we don't actually own a TV, the caller pressed further, inquiring about our internet usage. I politely declined once more and ended the conversation. To add insult to injury, my mobile number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet it seems that doesn't deter these persistent callers according to the information shared by Goodwill above. It's utterly vexing, to say the least!

We received a rather curious call from these folks inquiring about when we might share our thoughts on leisure activities for the local council. Naturally, we asked them which council was contacting us, and to our surprise, she was completely stumped! We firmly told her to make a note that we’d prefer not to be disturbed by them again. She seemed rather affronted, insisting that this survey was crucial. We didn't mince our words, telling her to take her survey and stick it where the sun doesn't shine, before hanging up.

Called from 17.152. jan. 08, and was attempting to obtain our information via telephone. Caution is advised - it appears to be a scam!

Received a call from this number just now. I've dropped them an email at [email protected], kindly asking them to remove my number in line with the guidelines on their website. Fingers crossed they’ll have it wiped from their records in the next day or so. Honestly, this is all one really needs to do to stop the calls, everyone!

Received a missed call from this number on my mobile earlier today. I've never received any market research calls on my phone before! It appears that this number is connected to the Evening Telegraph, which I have no affiliation with whatsoever. Quite baffling, to say the least!

I received a call from someone purporting to be conducting research for Leeds Uni. When I inquired about how they obtained my number, they nonchalantly mentioned they were just dialling random digits. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I just had a ring on my phone, but they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail.

I’m experiencing the same hassle over here. I’m getting calls up to three times daily, but they seem to ring off as soon as I’m unavailable. The most frustrating part is that this is a business number our company set up for my home office just two months back, and we promptly registered with the Telephone Preference Service as soon as it was up and running. Absolutely infuriating!

I received a call from that number around five o'clock, which was quite frustrating since we don’t subscribe our number for any marketing surveys. It's baffling how they managed to get hold of it. Anyway, I’ll make a note to ignore any future calls from them.

The phone rang, so we told them to hold on for a moment while we switched off the hob. After that, we just resumed watching telly.

I've received a few calls from this same number, and it seems to be a persistent nuisance. Clearly, it's an external ring that we choose to ignore. If it continues, we'll have no option but to report it to BT. (Leicestershire). SB, kudos on drafting that letter! Let’s hope it does the trick.

Absolutely not. This number incessantly calls our business line in London, despite the fact that we’re listed with the Telephone Preference Service. They never seem to leave a message either. It’s really quite annoying!

I received a recent follow-up call from Autoglass regarding some repairs they carried out for me. It was just a typical customer care check-in, asking if I was satisfied with the service and the quality of the work performed.

This number started ringing us last Friday, and it hasn’t let up since! They've called at least thrice every day without fail. Each time the answering machine picks up, there’s just a strange click followed by utter silence. Quite baffling, really!

I've opted out of marketing calls and I'm on the Telephone Preference Service, yet these nuisances still manage to break through and disturb my tranquillity. What on earth is the point of these measures when they continue to hassle us? It’s quite infuriating!
