I’d say the best thing to do is just ignore any calls that seem like scams. Don’t even bother picking up.

Got a call from a guy who said he was with BT, talking about my internet. I told him I don’t do unsolicited calls and wasn’t interested in chatting. He then started asking me why, which felt a bit dodgy, so I just hung up. Even though I’m with BT, I’m wary of anyone calling my landline now. Not 100% sure it was a scam, but it definitely didn’t feel right.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer had hackers stealing my info and asking me to turn it on. I told her she was fake because I could barely catch what she was saying and then just hung up. This is actually the second phone call in two days - a guy with an Asian accent called the other day, and I told him the same thing. Definitely a SCAM.
