Got a call from someone claiming to be Marcus Dubrovnik at BT. He said my router had been sending alerts for a couple of weeks about malware being downloaded to my PC. Asked if I could check my computer with him. I told him I was a bit tied up and would call back later. Gave me 02032877573 to ring, and said his Employer ID was 5027. The number on my caller ID was 02088547183. Definitely a scam.

I just let it go to voicemail - didn't leave anything. Seems like they switch to numbers that look close to the last one once you block them.

Seems like there’s a spike in these scam calls recently. I’ve had nearly a dozen in the last few days. I usually mess about with the callers, keeping them on the line for ages so they’re the ones paying for it. They usually end up shouting loads of nasty stuff when I hang up, but honestly, having a laugh at their expense really gets under their skin.

Kept complaining about issues with their internet then just cut off, honestly I wish they’d just disappear for good. Can’t stand these bloody people!

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming to be from BT, saying there was some dodgy stuff happening on my internet. I didn’t buy it straight away and asked a few questions. He was quick to give an ID number to try and prove who he was, sounded pretty convincing at first. Still, he wasn’t interested in what I had to say, just kept pushing his story. Ended up hanging up on him.

The person on the line spoke hardly any English and claimed to be from BT. There was so much noise in the background with loads of other scammy voices shouting, it was hard to keep up. Definitely sounded like one of those dodgy calls trying to trick you.

Once more, these scammers from India are pretending they're from BT. Honestly, it's frustrating how these people don't try harder to find real work. It's just so annoying.
