A pleasant young lady reached out to inform me that the warranty on my Beko washing machine had lapsed at the beginning of the month and asked if I’d be interested in renewing it. I mean, really? The appliance is over a decade old! Clearly a scam attempt.

I received a phone call regarding a washing machine cover that supposedly 'expired'. The caller seemed genuine, but as soon as I mentioned that it really shouldn't have lapsed, they abruptly ended the call. Quite odd, to say the least!
