I've recently encountered a rather dodgy situation with a so-called Amazon helpline that appears to be spoofing a UK number. It seems they’ve somehow gotten hold of our email and gone ahead to alter our Amazon password, which then sent me an email containing an OTP code. The cheeky scammer on the other end of the line insisted I share that code for them to seize control of the account. Whatever you do, do NOT divulge that code. Just hang up and make sure to block that number immediately!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon customer service, using a UK phone number which I’m guessing they faked. They must’ve got hold of our email somehow because we got an email saying the password for our Amazon account had been changed, complete with a one-time code. The caller asked for that code to gain access to our account. Big warning - never share that code with anyone, just end the call immediately and block that number straight away!
