6 yearsSome woman called saying she was from Domestic & General, but I recognised it was one of those washing machine scams straight away and called her out on it. She hung up pretty quick after that.6 yearsWhen I picked up the phone, there was a brief click before a young woman began speaking straight away. She knew my name and even mentioned my home address, rattling on about a washing machine. She sounded like she was in her mid-thirties with a British accent and spoke quite rapidly. Since I wasn't in the market for any washing machines, I told her how disappointing it was that she would stoop so low, asking how she could look at herself in the mirror each morning. I even added that when she next sees her mum, she should think about the shame in trying to con someone older than her own mother. She just said she wasn’t ashamed at all, so I let her explain about this washing machine, but as soon as I did, she hung up on me.6 yearsI got a call from a really polite woman about some washing machine insurance that had apparently expired. Thing is, my washer is about 15 years old, second hand, and has never even been registered at my place! Felt a bit sorry for her, all I could manage was a laugh.6 yearsGot a call trying to get me to buy a warranty for my washing machine, which I think has been going for about 15 years now. They said the warranty expired just this past Thursday and somehow the price would be cheaper than it was last year! Bit of a laugh if you ask me.6 yearsGot a call from a woman who didn't say who she was. She asked for the phone account holder by name and then just ended the call without saying anything else.6 yearsWas it just me or was that call completely pointless? Just silence at the other end, total waste of my time!6 yearsgot a call about renewing some washing machine service, total scam. really fed up with these calls constantly. we're both past 70 and my husband is just coming back from cancer surgery. you’d think the phone companies would do something to put a stop to it by now.6 yearsCalled by a really polite woman about renewing my washing machine cover. She sounded nice but don’t be tricked! I do have insurance on my washer, but they never ring me up like this.6 yearsGot a call from this number but didn’t pick up, felt like it might have been one of those scam calls, so I just ignored it!6 yearsSeems like yet another one of those dodgy washing machine service plan scams.6 yearsMy phone buzzed and there was a slight pause when I picked up. Then a recorded voice came on saying they dialled the wrong number and then the call ended. Pretty sure they’re just trying to find active numbers to send more sales calls my way. Fingers crossed BT Protect can block most of these annoying calls from coming through.FingersBT Protect6 yearsThis caller keeps pestering me asking for someone who doesn’t live here. It’s definitely the wrong number, but they just won’t stop. Starting to think they’re trying to scam or phish info out of me. Honestly, it’s getting really irritating now.Submit Your Own Report (020 8850 3892)
