Just got a weird one today. A recorded voice said my internet was being used for illegal stuff and that BT would cut off my service. They wanted me to talk to someone who could check my connection for issues. Seriously, how dumb do they reckon we are? Real companies like BT wouldn’t send automated threats like that. They didn’t ask for names or give any real info, just enough to freak you out so you call them back and maybe hand over personal stuff or let them on your PC. My advice - always ignore and hang up on recorded calls, unless it’s a genuine appointment reminder.
