Some bloke with a dodgy Indian accent called my 85-year-old mum, trying his luck claiming he represented our home insurance. When I told him he wasn’t from that company, he kept insisting he was, but I pushed back and asked for the company name. He got all tongue-tied and confused pretty quickly. Now I have this little game - whoever stays on hold the longest wins. He lasted just a minute and a half. Honestly, I wish these annoying freeloaders would find real jobs instead of pestering my elderly mum.

I got a call from a woman who sounded Indian, saying she could help me block annoying calls. When I asked what company she was with, she just ended the call. Feels like a total scam to me.
