I've been getting calls from this number for the past three days, but whenever I try to pick up, they never respond.

Had two calls today already, first one was just silence early at 8 this morning, then later around 2pm got a call from some Indian call centre saying they were from the TPS, which is weird coz I've never contacted them before.

Some guy with an Indian accent rang me up asking if I was Mrs ....... When I told him no, he said he thought he was talking to the house owner and wanted to talk about telephone preference numbers. I just called him out as a scammer straight away and blocked him using my 1572 blacklist.

I’ve been getting calls for what sounds like a debt collection firm for nearly two years now. They keep asking for someone who’s never even lived at this address - we’re the first people in this new place. Looks like the BT number was recycled from the previous owner, who left behind loads of angry creditors. What’s really dodgy is when they claim to be from the Telephone Preference Service and try to get me to verify my name and number. No chance. Honestly, I’d love to track them down and shove the phone where it hurts. Absolute muppets.

Got a call from some Asian guy named Nelson who claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Management Service. He was saying my account isn’t valid anymore, which is odd cos I never signed up for one anyway. I just told him nicely to buzz off.

We’ve been getting loads of spam calls lately from different numbers, so I just don't answer if I don’t know the number. This one showed up on the screen but I ignored it since it wasn’t familiar and it didn’t even leave a voicemail. When I looked up the number online, I saw that lots of other people had been called by the same one.

I just got a call from this number, and the person sounded really convincing and kept insisting he was from the Telephone Preference Service, protected by UK consumer laws. He claimed he could block every annoying call, even ones coming from overseas. He seemed to know loads about me, like my name and address. He told me my old registration had been cancelled and to re-register with TPS, he needed to check how I pay my bill and wanted the first six digits of my credit card. I kept telling him I wasn’t convinced and asked him to calm down! Eventually, I just ended the call. Then, he rang back and begged me not to hang up - naturally, I did. The caller spoke with an Indian accent.

On 14/04/18 at 09:23, I answered the phone but didn’t say a word. The person on the other end stayed quiet and hung up after around 10 seconds.

Got a call out of the blue early Saturday morning, they claimed they could help cut down on annoying calls. They somehow already knew my name and where I live, which was odd, then tried to get me to give my credit card expiry date. Lucky I didn’t fall for it and just ended the call straight away.
