I received a call from a dubious number supposedly linked to TalkTalk. The person on the line, an individual with an accent that suggested they were from India, introduced themselves as "Sam Parker" and insisted they had detected issues with my router. When I mentioned I was unavailable and requested a callback, they became increasingly persistent. However, TalkTalk themselves have confirmed that they would never reach out to customers in such a manner. Should you attempt to ring this number, you’ll be greeted by a recorded message stating: "You have dialled an incorrect number. Please check the number and try again." During the conversation, they might inquire about your keyboard layout and steer you towards opening a Command Window, where they could ask you to enter certain commands that could lead to who knows what!
