Earlier today, on the 16th of June, 2011, I received a remarkably similar call, asking for £496.00 with the promise of retrieving £4,314.00 in return. It felt rather dodgy, if I'm honest. Everyone who rang me, claiming to be Paul, had these strong foreign accents that raised my suspicions straight away. Absolutely a scam!

Oi, Fernandes, do spare us your nonsense. Honestly, it's a bit daft, isn't it? Perhaps kindly remove yourself from the conversation and take a moment to reflect. Paul Moore has been a real gem in helping us reclaim our hard-earned cash. So let’s focus on what truly matters. These folks are the real deal, so let's put our trust in them, shall we?

What a swindle this has turned out to be! We received the same ring with matching amounts, and were told to pop over to the Post Office to complete a Moneygram along with a claim form. Everyone here got a call from someone named Paul; our contact had a foreign accent and was called Paul Wilson, and the manager? Well, that was Paul Mode. When we tried ringing back the number 0208 819 5913, we had the unpleasant experience of speaking to Paul Mode, who rather curtly suggested we 'take a walk' instead of addressing our queries about the source of the funds. We’re now in the midst of notifying Consumer Direct about this whole fiasco.

These individuals are definitely up to no good. The moment we mentioned that we had verified the phone number, she abruptly hung up. It appears they are channeling their funds through a private MoneyGram setup.

We've been getting calls from the number 02088195913, claiming that a bank is in debt to us. They say we need to visit the post office and shell out £450 to claim the £4813 they're supposedly going to refund us. Obviously, that’s not going to happen!

We received another call earlier today, 22nd June 2011. This time, the name thrown about was Michael Watson. The person on the other end was quite irate, questioning why we hadn’t claimed our purported cash yet. A few weeks back, it was a sum of £4314 plus a £486 admin charge. And today, astonishingly, the figure had ballooned to £6000, with an additional £314 for admin or verification fees. The caller, who had a noticeable foreign accent, became increasingly agitated when we informed them that we had no outstanding claims with any bank, and I insisted on knowing exactly which bank they were alluding to. The conversation wrapped up with some choice words from her before she abruptly hung up.

We've received word that we should contact this number to get our hands on £4581.00. They’ve instructed us to fork out £486.00 first, followed by an extra £10.00. Allegedly, once that's done, they’ll reimburse the lot, plus the £4581.00. Sounds a bit dodgy, if you ask me!

A call came through from a number I didn’t recognise, claiming to be from a tech firm regarding my computer being vulnerable to a virus. When I began to probe a bit further, the woman with the Indian accent abruptly ended the conversation. I couldn’t quite catch the company name, but it sounded a bit like PC Monitor or something along those lines.

You hit the nail on the head, Tom! We were fortunate to get our PPI refund back. A massive thanks to them for their help - genuinely appreciate it! Wishing them all the best. However, I do feel that some folks from abroad are spoiling the character of our nation. It’s a shame, really, as it affects the community vibe.

Today, my wife received a rather peculiar phone call from a number we didn’t recognise. The chap on the other end had quite a pronounced foreign way of speaking. He asserted, rather confidently, that his records showed there were issues with our computer. He offered to rectify these so-called problems and requested that we switch on our device. Naturally, we felt a bit dubious about the whole thing, especially since our computer has been running perfectly fine. So, we wisely decided against following his instructions.

I received a call from this number associated with something called the United Kingdom National Reclaim Department, claiming I'm due £6314 if I pay an upfront fee of £486, with references to individuals named Edward Hall, Paul Moore, and Paul Mode. Can anyone explain the workings of this scam?

The claim reference provided is PW0019. The website mentioned was reclaimunfairbankcharges.org.uk, which appears to be non-existent. It seems that these individuals are unable to tell us which bank they supposedly made a claim against on our behalf.

The moment we engaged with these dubious characters, informing them that we had no claims against our bank as we never had PPI, they threw in a suggestion about the Ministry of Justice supposedly handling overcharges on our phone, electricity, and gas bills. Once we mentioned we preferred to collaborate directly with our utility providers, they became quite rude and unpleasant. When we asked for their website, they directed us to reclaimunfairbankcharges. org. uk. It’s clear these individuals are nothing more than con artists with no sense of ethics whatsoever.

So, I've come across a trio of individuals named Paul - there's Paul Moore, Paul Wilson, and their superior, Paul Modes. All three sport a foreign accent, which adds an intriguing twist to the tale. The phone number 0208 819 5913 appears to be associated with Magrethea Telecom as a VOIP line. It's quite alarming to discover that calls made to this number are routed to India, where the entire scam is being orchestrated. I've notified the local authorities and relevant scam monitoring organisations about this situation. A word of caution: steer clear of dishing out any cash or engaging with MoneyGram transactions!

It appears that the amount of £486.00 was a reimbursable fee related to your bank reclaim and PPI reclaim. Should you need any further information or clarification, please feel free to ring me at 2088195913. Best wishes, Paul Moore.

I received a rather dubious call earlier, much like many of you have. The caller had a distinct Indian accent and claimed that my computer was riddled with deadly malware. They insisted they were remotely observing my computer's activities and could provide me instructions over the phone on how to cleanse my hard drive of these so-called harmful programs. When I quizzed them about the make of my computer, there was an abrupt disconnect - they simply hung up! Their accent was so thick that I couldn’t even catch if they had mentioned a company name or anything informative. However, if they dare to ring me again, I’ll be ready to gather more details. The number they used is 02088 195 913.

I've just had a chat with a chap named Paul Wilson who let me know that we're eligible for a whopping £4,314 if we fork out just £286. He mentioned that we need to get in touch with Paul Moore, too. By the way, did everyone in India seem to have given Paul a ring?

I received a rather dubious phone call from a gentleman with an Asian accent, asserting he represented a computer firm. He claimed that my computer was infested with a virus and insisted that I power it up immediately so he could assist in removing the alleged threat. He went on to say that it was urgent, as my hard drive was already compromised and I'd risk losing all my data. I politely responded that I would have it checked by a trusted friend and promptly ended the conversation.
