Got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon's support, but it was a total scam. They already had our email and actually went ahead and reset our Amazon account password. That triggered an email from Amazon with a verification code (OTD code) which they then asked us for. I guess they wanted to hijack our account. Seriously, don’t hand over any code if you get a call like this - just end the call and block the number straight away!

Be wary, as this is a fraudulent operation masquerading as an Amazon call centre by spoofing a UK number. They’ve likely collected our email and altered our Amazon password, triggering an email with an OTP code. This scammer then attempted to coax us into revealing that code to seize control of the account. Please, whatever you do, don’t share that code! Just end the conversation and ensure to block the number immediately.
