To top it off, I received another call last night, but when I answered, it went all quiet on the line. It's all rather puzzling, to be honest. What's going on with this?

Received a rather puzzling phone call today. These chaps managed to ring our workplace, home and mobile, claiming it was of utmost importance for us to return their call. Apparently, they go by the name of CSL or Credit Solutions, and it turns out they're chasing debts. The manner of their representatives was quite off-putting-one particularly rude individual hung up on us the moment we asked for their proper identification. They insisted on a reference number before they'd even consider conversing with us. So, we told them quite cheerily to get lost! Honestly, if they keep up this sort of behaviour, they're not going to win any friends. They mentioned we should ring them back at 020 87634516.

I received a call from these folks who were asking for someone named Linda. They mentioned our home phone number as if they had it on hand and wanted to confirm if that was indeed the right one. We nodded along, affirming that it was correct. After expressing their thanks, they abruptly ended the call. However, now they seem to be incessantly ringing us, and whenever we try to return the call, it just won’t connect. Quite perplexing, if you ask me!

I've received a flurry of calls from both people and automated systems inquiring about someone who clearly doesn't reside here. It's rather unsettling, to be honest, especially since we explicitly informed one of the callers that their supposed contact isn't associated with our address. It’s a debt recovery firm we’ve been getting numerous missed calls from, but as we didn't recognise the number, we opted not to respond. Eventually, they left a message asking us to return the call. Upon doing so, we discovered it related to our BT account, which we had closed some time back yet still had an outstanding balance. It seems they struggle a bit with names, as it took them four tries to get mine correct! Nonetheless, the chap we spoke to was rather pleasant and managed to resolve everything for us in no time.

I received a call from this number claiming to be from BT Classified Ads. I've had my fair share of issues with BT Advertising, so there's no chance I'd divulge our postcode. After we hung up, I dialled 1471 to find out who it was, but when I attempted to call the number back, it was completely dead. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a call from this number instructing us to urgently contact Virgin Media regarding our account, providing an account number that definitely doesn’t belong to me. When we reached out to Virgin, they assured us that this is not their number at all. They did get our name right, which was a tad unsettling, but the whole thing was delivered by a robotic voice or pre-recorded message, which only fueled our suspicions further.
