I've received a staggering eight calls from this number today, yet each time, there's been nothing but silence on the line. I'm rather keen on having a proper conversation, to be honest. In the past, with other pesky scam calls, I've taken a rather civil approach. I often share a message about how abundantly Jesus loves them, but I also mention that He holds a strong disdain for the deceitful act of making these annoying calls. I often ask, "Would you care for a deeper insight into the love of the Lord Jesus?" It's quite astounding how swiftly they seem to disconnect upon hearing that, and I find those troublesome numbers rarely reach out again.

Yeah, i got a call from this same number. The guy said his name was david & he gave a BT code, something like DA7012, said if i wanted to get back to him i should quote that number. He claimed i owed loads of money and tried to send it into my bank, but i just told him no thanks and hung up straight away.

Got a call today from an unknown number. I noticed the call got quietly blocked, so I looked it up here and it’s listed as Dangerous. My call blocker didn’t even let the call get past its filters. If you’re dealing with loads of dodgy calls, I’d really recommend getting Call Guardian or something like it. Totally worth having!

Yesterday, I got 30 missed calls in just half an hour from these lot. Eventually, I rang my mobile provider who told me to say I had no internet, which I did. But they started ringing again this morning. I told them again I had no internet or computer, and they said they would take me off the list. Received four dodgy calls within a couple of hours, two saying they were from BT and the other two from Virgin Media. When I asked for their details or questioned them, they got quite aggressive. I've had three calls in just a couple of days from these con artists claiming to be from BT Openreach. The first two times, my caller ID just said "unavailable." When I asked for her number, she gave me 0179 3596 931, but my phone actually showed a 0208 number. The woman said she was Ella Jones from Banbury Road, Oxford, and then asked if I was deaf because she said she’d already explained everything! I found it quite funny and told her yesterday it was Jack Reacher calling, a fictional character, and now today I’ve got a singer on the line. She tried to get me to visit a website that would let her take control of my PC and insisted on deleting my phone number from her records, which I reminded her was my right under the Data Protection Act 1998. She snapped back saying I shouldn’t be rude to BT staff and claimed she knew the law better than me. When I pushed back, they get offensive and hang up. It's blatantly a scam meant to hack into your computer.

This bloke was claiming he was from Microsoft - made me a bit wary since it was an Indian bloke calling me "mam" over and over. He was bangin’ on about protecting me from dodgy downloads or something. I reckon older people might fall for this sort of trick easily. I tried ringing his number back with 141 before it but it didn’t go through. Had about four calls from him yesterday, but when I picked up there was nothing said. Told him to send me a letter if it was important, then I just hung up sharpish.

Loads of Indian / Asian scammers pretending to be from BT Openreach saying your PC has a virus. I usually waste their time by chatting and then tell them I’m just starting up the PC, asking them to hang on. Then I pop off to make a cuppa while they’re left waiting. After a while, they get annoyed and end the call. At least while they’re stuck on the line with me, they ain’t ripping anyone else off. Absolute crooks.

Some bloke with a thick Asian accent rang me up sayin' my phone line was infected with some serious virus. He said he'd help me fix it by guiding me through my computer. Last week this number rang me claiming they were from BT Openreach, saying there was an issue with my internet. I told them my husband’s in IT and would have told me if anything was wrong. The person then snapped back, “Fine, we’ll just cut your internet off then!” They rang again this morning, and when I hung up, they called straight back. They said they’d put me through to a supervisor because I’d asked to speak to a BT engineer. I hung up again but they called yet another time. This time a bloke who said his name was “Kevin” came on the line. He told me to press keys on my computer, but when I asked if there really was a fault and if they’d be sending an engineer, he replied, “We only send engineers to important customers.” I told him surely all customers were important, but then he got really rude, accusing me of messing about and yelling down the phone before hanging up on me!

This number rang me twice today, first time early morning around 8:30. When I picked up, it was just silence, nobody said a word. Bit creepy if you ask me.

Got a call from BT Open Reach saying they’re going to disconnect me. Absolutely buzzing me off!

Got called four times over a couple of days. Didn’t leave a voicemail when I missed it. I picked up twice - first time they said they were with BT Openreach, the second time they claimed they wanted to fix my BT internet issue. Told them to stop calling, but they just carried on anyway.

Said they were from BT Open Reach. Hung up quick when I told them BT doesn’t hire anyone who can’t speak proper English. Pretty sure it’s one of those dodgy scam calls.

Honestly, I barely let the bloke say a word. Poor sod probably had no clue what was going on! Do folks in the UK actually fall for these silly calls? Time to put this number on the block list.

I reckon this is a spoofed phone number. When the answering service picked up, the caller just hung up straight away. Then when I tried ringing back using 141 to hide my number, I got the BT recorded message and tone saying the number isnt recognised. This call showed up about 10 mins after I got a call from the usual "Windows Support" lot, Asian based, with one of those dodgy “out of area” numbers. That caller hung up on me when I told them I was about to hand the phone over to a police officer standing right next to me.
