I got a call from a bloke who said he was ringing about me paying too much on some bills. When I asked for details he quickly turned nasty and started shouting loads of horrible things. The number was 02087560606. Then about a minute later another call came through from 020389050 but nobody said a word. Both calls came through on my landline.

Some bloke with a heavy accent rang me up and asked for me by name. He just kept saying the same polite stuff over and over. I got fed up and snapped, asking him what the heck he wanted. Then, out of nowhere, he just cut me off. Seriously, why does BT let these dodgy calls keep happening? It’s so frustrating!

So I got a call from this Asian woman named Angela, who claimed she was with some Claims Advisory Group. She said I needed to pay fees because they were managing my claim. When I told her I never made any claim, she just told me to shove it and then she hung up on me.

Some bloke called me claiming I was due a refund for bank fees from like 20 years ago! :) Funny thing is, I ended up giving him all the wrong info on purpose - even made up a fake name :/ Then his mate rang back and must’ve taken down the false name I gave, Tony or something, asking for Mr c### Absolute scam, for sure! Doubt I’m gonna see any cash but had a laugh with those two, so maybe at least they weren’t busy ripping off someone more gullible for a bit.

I've received numerous calls from this number on my mobile, so I decided to block it. Yet, I've now noticed a few calls coming through on my landline as well. Strangely enough, no one ever utters a word on the other end.

Yesterday, I got a call from a man with an Asian accent saying I had a tax refund of £20,000 waiting for me. I told him that HMRC would never call about such things, they’d send a letter instead. He then asked me to verify some personal info he gave me, but it was all wrong. After I corrected him, he said something about cancelling my £20,000 payment. Totally dodgy and a clear scam if you ask me!

I received a call from a chap with an accent that seemed to be Indian, and he asked for me by name. I replied, saying I wasn't available since I had no idea who he was. Curious, I inquired about his identity so I could relay a message if necessary. To my surprise, he simply disconnected the call. How rude!

Got a call on my home phone from this number earlier today. As soon as I said 'Hello,' there was this weird pause that immediately made me suspicious it was one of those annoying calls. Then an Asian bloke who said his name was 'Martin' started asking for me, claiming he was from some organisation called UK Claim or summat like that. I wasn’t having any of it, so I just ended the call. These bloody scammers are so irritating!

This number has been ringing me persistently at 8:30 and 9:20 this morning, as well as over the past couple of days! Every time I pick up, there's absolutely no one there, and when I attempted to call 1471, it appeared they were still on the line! It's absolutely infuriating!!!

Got a call from a bloke called Tony, said he was from some "Claims Advisory Group." He was going on about how my bank had charged me loads in secret fees and the government was gonna pay me back. Total nonsense if you ask me! He asked for my info, starting with my date of birth, supposedly to check things. I just gave him a piece of my mind and ended the call.

It's really hard to make out what they're saying, but they keep ringing up claiming they're gonna send us a cheque and asking for our bank info. I tell them to buzz off, but it’s so concerning that some unsuspecting folks might fall for it and hand over their details. Surely the government needs to crack down on these scams? About 30 minutes ago this number popped up on my phone. The 020 code immediately made me suspicious, thinking it was probably a scam, so I didn’t pick up and let it go to voicemail. The line was awful, really hard to hear, but I caught some background noise that made it seem like a call centre. Just another one for my list of annoying calls to block!

I got a call from a guy claiming he was from Manchester, but the connection was rubbish and it definitely didn’t sound local. I try to waste their time by chatting as long as I can, hoping it stops them from tricking elderly people out of their cash. The moment I said that, they just cut me off. It's so frustrating trying to figure out how to shield the vulnerable from these awful scammers.

Had a call from a guy who sounded African, though the line was pretty scratchy. He said he was ringing from somewhere in Manchester for a Government dept, telling me I could claim back some money for accountancy fees. I asked for a number to ring back on, and he gave me 0161 008 4592, which obviously isn’t real. He already knew my address and even mentioned a cheque was on its way. Trying to get some proper info, I asked who exactly he was, but he just cut me off. Nothing gained there.

Pretty much the same as what everyone else is saying. They rang me up about some bank fees they claimed I had to pay, but I usually never get charged, so I smelled a rat straight away. I jokingly asked if they wanted my bank details, and he snapped back, "Why the hell would I need that?" I told him he just wanted to mess me about and that he could jog on. Bit childish maybe, but it felt good to wind him up. Luckily, my phone lets me block numbers now, so that one’s gone straight onto the block list.

Got a call from someone speaking with a strange accent claiming I was owed bank fees from the last 20 years. Complete nonsense, I haven’t been charged by a bank in more than four decades.
