As the spouse of a patient from Westway surgery, I had a rather unpleasant experience recently. A member of staff phoned me but failed to introduce herself, asking if I was Mr. Nicola. When I informed her that I wasn’t, she abruptly hung up on me. Given that my husband has some hearing difficulties, his notes specifically advise that communications should be done via email or written correspondence. This caller clearly did not adhere to those guidelines, didn’t identify herself or her workplace, and exhibited a rather discourteous attitude. Quite disappointing, really.
