Sounds like they're faking being cops. I’m planning to get in touch with Bromley CID about it.

So they say they’re from the gang unit at Bromley Police, part of the Met Police. I got a voicemail asking me to ring back a certain number. When I called the next day, the DS they said wanted to talk to me was supposedly at a funeral and wouldn’t be back for another five days. Then I started speaking with a DC who promised to get back to me. Later, I got a voicemail saying he’d be out of the office but hoped to return by 3pm. I rang five times and no answer. Next morning, a woman told me he’d taken personal leave because his nan was poorly. Honestly, it didn’t sound proper at all, and she said he wouldn’t be in the office until Monday. Seriously, what’s going on here???
