Got a call from someone saying they were Virgin Media, sounded really convincing. They told me my account was hacked and my bank details had been taken. Total scam. I checked with Virgin Media myself and they said there’s nothing wrong with my account.

I got a call from someone claiming to be Virgin Media. When I asked them to prove it, they said since they had all my info, there was no way it wasn't legit. I then asked for the name on my account, but they just ignored me. After I pressed for the name of the person who gets the bill, they suddenly just ended the call.

Someone rang me pretending to be from my internet company, but they never said which one. They said they'd seen some "risky stuff" coming through my connection recently. I told them straight off this was the third time in as many months that scammers had pulled the same trick on me. They went quiet after that and I just ended the call.
