got a call claiming to be from amazon, said it was from 1472. when i tried calling back that number, it just said it wasn’t valid or something like that! how do these lot even pull that off? they use some auto voice message that sounds legit enough to trick folk. defo not the first time this has happened to me. watch out everyone!

I never pick up calls from numbers I don’t know, I just let them ring out to voicemail. Most of the time it’s just some scam or someone annoying you, and they hardly ever bother to leave a message. If you ask me, it’s best to have caller ID and ignore any calls from strangers - real people usually leave a message if it’s important.

I just ended the call as soon as I heard who it was.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Amazon. Knew it was dodgy so I hung up, blocked the number and told the ICO about it. Definitely a scammer trying their luck.

Got a recorded message saying it’s from Amazon Prime about renewing my subscription automatically. It asked me to get in touch if there’s a mistake. We don’t even have an account with them, so I just ignored it.
