He had an Asian accent and insisted that they were collaborating with BT to slash my contract cost in half. As he started probing for my personal information, I provided him with made-up details and told him to ring back later, as I didn’t have my bank information readily available. Naturally, I reached out to BT to verify the legitimacy of this claim, but they assured me that they had no knowledge of it whatsoever. Subsequently, he rang me back on this number after the initial call, and once I alerted him that I had contacted BT, he promptly ended the conversation. The first call came from a Kendal number-01539733571-while the return call originated from a London area code.
