Got a call from a robotic voice, this lady claiming to be from ‘the bank’. She told me my card was charged twice - once on Amazon for 300 pounds and another time... Didn’t stick around to hear more and just ended the call. This is the third time I’ve had this sort of call, always from what seems like a regular London number, but it’s all a fake. The phone numbers change a bit but each time its started with 020 and an 8 after that. Total scam.

I just received a rather suspicious call from a female voice claiming to be from 'the bank'. She stated that my card had been charged twice earlier today, once for a purchase of £300 at Amazon, and another time…

I ended the call before hearing the full details, as I've already been inundated with a couple of similar messages from what appeared to be standard London phone numbers. I could almost bet she was about to claim that the second transaction was a whopping £1,000…

At first, the number looked legitimate, which is why I answered, but it's blatantly a scam!
